tunze 3155 to kalk stirrer

Hi I am trying to hook my tunze 3155 to my kalk stirrer and am having trouble because the tubing for the 3155 is to big for the input to the stirrer is there a way to get the 3155 to accept the smaller tubing or do I need to create a bridge between the two sizes of tubing to get them hooked together?

afelder - I used John Guest fittings on mine using ¼” line.

Thanks Jay that did help.

I managed to get them together with a bridge that I already had but now the level light blinks occasionally. Just the green light that shows that it is level what does it mean?

Is the sensor near a lot of water movement? Mine is located behind my return pump (to the right of where I’m pointing) and the flow in that area is calm. If yours is topping off the water and maintaining water level correctly I would look at that. I also have the tube from the reactor (red in the picture) top-off in the skimmer area for mixing purposes. This keeps the kalk from entering near any of the Osmolators sensors. Usually a blinking light is some sort of error like a magnet close by or water getting into the electronics (not good!). From the instructions: Green LED “Level” is lit = The operating sensor (2) reports water contact. If the operating sensor runs without water for 3 seconds (LED off), the metering pump will start operating.

Thanks again it is running just fine. It may be the flow in the sump then. i found a used sump that fit my needed spec exactly near the trash at my complex the only problem was it only had one baffle and the sump water level is higher than it.

Another thing, you may want to have some sort of check valve in between your Nilsen and your osmolator, if your Nilsen is taller than your freshwater source....

Thank You for the suggestion for the check valve that is actually what I used to bridge the gap between the two different sizes of tubing. I had a bunch of airline and stuff left over from when I had fresh tanks and was going through all the pieces until I found something that worked
