Tunze 6095's and 7096 Controller Break-In

Just got my new 6095's and 7096 Controller. I'm playing around with the configuration. Right now I'm working with one pump in wavecontroller mode and the other pulsing.

As far as the 6095's go, is there a break-in procedure? Is it better to run with lower volts and a higher percentage or higher volts and a lower percentage? I ask these questions to ensure long life.

Hi Ralph,

No specific break-in procedure is necessary with any Tunze pump. However, the controllable pumps such as your 6095s can on occasion make a slight clicking noise when started from a full stop. This sound will get progressively quieter over the course of two weeks and will then become almost inaudible.

I would choose to run the pumps with their 24V jumpers and then if necessary turn down the power with controller. The jumpers are included mainly for people who do not have controllers yet still need to turn the power down.

Hope that helps. Have fun with them... you've made a great purchase.
