Tunze for my Elos120

I am getting an Elos System120. The tank has the same footprint as a regular 120 (48x24) but is only 20 high and therefore holds only 90 gallon.
The tank will be placed in the room as a divider. One short side will be placed against the wall and the tank will be viewable from 3 sides.
I would like to avoid to have to many power cords hanging from the viewable sides. Also the pumps will be controlled by a Profilux. Would like to create some random flow as well as some waves at times.
Would like to get some input:
  • It will be a mixed reef and would like some good flow. 2 x 6105 or would 2 x 6055 be enough?
  • Could I put both powerheads on the short side each in a corner to avoid the hanging power cord from the viewing side or is it way better for better flow to have them on opposite sides?

Thanks for any suggestions

Michael,

The 6055 would be smaller real estate but personally I would go with 2 x 6105 this would give a better length of flow and would work better considering they will both be on a short side.

I have a 120xl and tried two 6105s but it moved to much sand even turned down to 30%. Im currently running three 6055s at around 40% - 50% with good flow but still some sand movement. If you go bare bottom or course substrate either the 6105s or 6055s should be fine.
