Tunze Stream

Cool. Nice pumps for sure.

I see on your sig line that you have some LPS. Be sure to watch the flow of that 6000 with any of the big fleshy LPS, like bubbles, torches, frogspawns, etc. They might not like that flow. When i first got my 6000s for my 180g, my LPS weren't happy. But after some careful placement and patience, they are doing great. I used rocks and other corals as shields from the streams. It just takes a little planning. Good luck!

IÃ"šÃ‚´m sure youÃ"šÃ‚´ll love it.
The magnet is a great buy.
I just received 2 6200 and boy IÃ"šÃ‚´m glad I ordered the magnets.
Good luck
Marco

Big Question

Big Question

I looked at the price for a
Tunze pump and don't understand why they are so expensive. Where are they made and why the big price difference? drfostersmith.com has a Maxi-Jet 1200 for $16.99. How much did you pay for each tunze pump?

You'll never be able to justify the price until you've had one. There is nothing else on the market right now that compares to them in terms of performance and quality. Once you get these, you'll never buy powerheads again for flow in your water column.

Just the other day, my Tunze started shooting air bubbles out of it....Im not sure why...its not pulling anything from the surface.

I donÃ"šÃ‚´t know in turbelles, but regular powerheads do that and it is normal performance (itÃ"šÃ‚´s just that I donÃ"šÃ‚´t remember why, sorry).

Re:Xcreonx.... Yeah, what he said.. I've got softies and I run mine at less than 50% power to avoid blowing them away.

Just guessing here, but for me that indicates it time to run them in vinegar and then dissasemble and scrub.
