tunze wavebox flow

I'm putting together a 120g sps tank, i am drilling tommorow and cannot decide if i want a closed loop. There is not a lot of room for the plumbing. My question is, If i get a wavebox in addition to my return manifold will that be enough flow without the closed loop? I know it adds a different kind of flow but what is the equivalent gph?

what are you planning to keep, you'll want something to provide linear flow. the wavebox just moves the water back and forth.

mostly SPS, i will have probably have close to 1000gph through the return but was hoping to get away with just that and the wavebox. I'm guessing it's not gonna be enough, but a guy can hope.

hehe, yeh definitely not gonna be enough for sps. I'd go with another 2 6000s or even 2 6100s.
