Tunze Wavebox Question

Hi everyone!

Am just hoping for a little advice. Has anyone had experience cleaning a Tunze Wavebox nano? The thing has run like a champ for over a year, but now it is getting encrusted with coralline algae and sediment. Can I run it in a diluted vinegar solution to help clean it up a bit?

I appreciate any advice!

How much should I dilute the vinegar? Do I then run it in non-vinegar water as a rinse/flush?

I usually do a mop bucket(2-3 gallon size ) with a gallon of vinegar and enough water to cover both of my waveboxes. Scrub them after an hour or two. Then rinse with tap and your all done. The longer you leave them the better. And depending on the level of coverage on them it might be best to take them apart to get them cleaner.
