Tunze Wavebox

Is there any truth or just myth that the Tunze wavebox is hard on an aquarium and will cause premature seam failure or undue stress on a tank?

If I'm not mistaken..according to Tunze's statement it can degrade a glass tank by 15%...but please don't quote me on this.

According to Roger in the Tunze section of the forums he states that it is true but never "proven". Usually tanks that fail would have failed anyway due to poor craftsmanship but they say it could conceivably happen. It wouldn't be a consideration for me personally as long as the tank is fairly recent and made from quality glass.
