Any good snorkeling spots in Turkey? (the country, not the bird ;P)
I should be around Izmir, Cesme, Kusadasi, and maybe Bodrum.. around the mid/south western coast region.
When I was 16 I snorkeled around Karatas near Adana (south/west coast). Found a few nice little reefs and had a HUGE fish, most likely a grouper, scare the crap out of me. Though I suspect I scared the crap out of him too. He zoomed towards me dead on, turned at the last second such that the water from the turn actually pushed against me.. and he took a 90 degree turn and was gone. All in a matter of a couple seconds.
