lovely colorations but sadly real slow growers.. takes them 4-5 years to grow to some decent size.. Which is not so bad if your tank is already fully loaded..Wish to add some extreme colored tear drops but these beauties are over here not available.. I guess that most of them gets shipped to Japan and America, and few of them that reach Europe are just not affordable..

and yes, for the end another anemone, I acquired recently.
snakelocks. That bi*** killed one fish already, price to be payed with this species, I guess.. :(

now that you are saying that thing about needing current to support its tentacles when weak, I thnk that is the cause why mine died. I bought my purple one from a friend of mine who had it extremely healthy for 1 week it even ate flake food it could catch, then when I took it to my tank it began to deteriorate really fast, and the reason for that is because I had maxijets with wavemaker, and this little output can stress animals.

I am getting a 180 gal tank, with a wavebox, and t5 lighting with individual reflectors, what do you think?, I am confident that a new magnifica will trive in this tank.

sorry to hear about your loss..:( I cant tell with certainty what kill your nem but it looks strange that weak water movement would kill it so quick. They have will of their own and if they don't like the place they wander of to look for the better one..Last year when I was away (vacation) my streamers failed , alarm went off so I told a friend (guy who was feeding fishes) to switch em completely off so mag was 10 days in still water.. It didn't even wander off ..

I'm also curious about T5,. here at RC i learned that mags thrive and do good under strong lighting with central strongest point, which would in a way represent the sun.. In t5 scenario with light equally spread they could wander to much, dunno maybe sand should be applied to keep em put.. I'd love to hear some t5 succes stories, best off luck with it :)

55semireef, color pattern and large scales are giveaway.
Normally croceas have very tiny scales.. Otherwise (not visible on pic,..) you can spot crocea due to its very large byssus opening, this thing is just huge..;)

maxies are often confused with croceas and squamosas, another nice trick to positively ID maxima clam is to observe its sides..

they are not centrally symmetric as with croceas and squamosas...

What codec do I need, I tried downloading it but all I got out of it was music. I thought I had most common codecs installed but maybe I need to update some or something like that.
