Two New Fish

I just got two new fish, an extremely beautiful Coral Beauty and an elegant Yellow Tang....

My question is a simple one, as I have tried foods that are recommended, but they dont seem to like it. What are you guyz feeding these....

I am not two concerned yet as it is second day in tank, but would like to know what you guyz recommend trying.

I feed my coral beauty formula 2 flake food, formula two frozen food, and mysis shrimp.

make sure and feed the tang nori often.

Do any of you ad Selcon or any stimulant to it? I am thinking about adding a couple drops to it before placing it on the clip. I placed Nori on the clip and Tang paid no attention to it. Coral Beauty is still getting used to tank and didnt come out at tonights feeding, Im hoping tomorrow morning will be a little better.

I use selcon and garlic extreme in my foods espically for new fish... Here and there i will add it during the week i believe they are good products and just another way to keep my fish healthy and eating.

I have the best luck getting new tangs to eat brine shrimp. I soak in Selcon and Garlic. Also try and leave some nori in the tank all the time at first so they can pick at it if they like it.

try to rubber band some rolled uo nori flat to a small piece or live rock and place it on the bottom of the tank. that wil get most tangs to eat

and they dont seem to be taking to it....also not sure if I should leave in water all the time because I dont want it to affect water quality...

put some garlic on it and see if that helps. I def wouldnt leave it in there more than a couple of hours.

This is a great way to keep the nori from coming loose and getting suck in to the PHs and the tangs like to pick on it more. Don't forget to soak it in Selcon and/or Vita-chem. My tangs and Blue Girdled Angel all loves it.

Give it some time on the YT. Nori sheets aren't hanging out in the wild. My YT took almost two weeks before he would take it. Best way to get him to eat it is to rubber band to a rock or shell Nori. Wrap it with a rubber band like 20 times so they have to work on it and then put it in his cruising area.
