First question - feeding sps at night - polyp extension.
I notice at night most of my sps have a lot larger polyp extension than during the day. Is this when I should feed my coral?
Second quesion - some coral loosing color.
I have some coral that has never lost its color, other coral darkening to a deeper shade of the color it came as, and finally, some coral becoming more washed out. I check my parameters weekly and they are stable and in the required zones. What other effects might cause coral becoming faded. This fading process is about 2 to 3 weeks.
Once coral that faded on me I moved back down to the bottom of my tank and it has started to gain some color again. These newest coral that is fading I started at the bottom of the tank but still in direct light. Should I move them to the shade?
