Two spot goby gone?

I had a two spot goby for a week or so and I went on a little vacation. I had a friend look after my tank and all was well. I lost a "royal gramma"? and could not find my goby at all. I haven't seen him since I went on vacation and was wondering if he is definately dead or if he is really good at hiding?

well thats oddu say those two fish. When my tank first started i had a bully tang that was chasing my royal gramma and caused it to jump...check the ground and behind the tank. Then another morning i wake up and find my 2 spotted goby slightly chewed up just lying dead on the sand bed. So are there any predator fish in you tank or crabs that could grab him?

Did you check for a carpet surfer? My dog kept eating my carpet surfers. It took me a while to figure that one out.

I looked around outside of the tank. It is quite unlikely though; the lid is pretty tight. I looked in the back of the aquapod and didn't see anything. Maybe he got eaten faster than the gramma. My damsels are a little territorial, but nothing too severe.
