Does it come with a refillable DI canister when we buy the unit? Or is that something we need to purchase? How is the quality?

I have no problem with mine whatsoever for almosty a year and a half now. DI are replaceable, yes
mine came with tds meter as well

The DI is refillable and it is a good quality unit.

I've had mine for almost 2 years without any problems. The Typhoon 3 is a great system.

I like mine, but IMHO, you should look at The Filter Guys. They sponcor RC and are Reef hobbiest. Just a thought.

Dorry the confusion. I was wondering if the stock DI cartridge was refillable using the DI color changing resin. How does the DI resin compare to the cartridge?

The Typhoon III 75 gpd unit is probably one of the most impressive pieces of equipment for the money that I've ever purchased. People have asked if it cost me anywhere from 500 to 1000 dollars for the thing! Considering the filter pack is 50 and the membrane is around 80, and that they throw in a free TDS meter with it....I don't know how they make much of a profit selling them so cheap.

I haven't had to change the filters on mine yet but probably will be within a few months. I don't know if the DI resin is refillable but when you buy a new sediment filter and cabon block set, a new DI cartridge comes with them, all for 50 bucks.

I just purchased mine today...Instead of getting the free TDS meter, I opted to purchase the TDS Meter/ TDS Alarm/ Pressure guage package to go with it.

They have a special right now on that package for $39.

I called around, and their customer service was way better than some places I called. Including one place that wouldnt honor a price on their site for a product I wanted to purchase...



I hope to receive my Typhoon 3 by the weekend, Ill post back up with my thoughts.
