It's a clam. What we can see are the two shells and the incurrent & outcurrent through which the clam filters water.

I'm getting the hang of this now. Just when you *think* you've done enough reading and study, live rock throws you an entirely foreign phylum to research.

At this rate I'll be discovering new species (of illegal algae) by the end of the year.
