I do. Mainly SPS. 20G long tank, MP10 on reef crest, Radion Gen3 XR30(will be switching to ATI 4 bulb due to main tank being T5 as well) HOB filter and kalk in my ATO. Best growth from any tank I've had for my SPS. Daily growth in mySunset Milli, Blue matrix, Oregon tort, and others in there. Only think I have is a bag of chemi pure elite and a piece of filter floss in the HOB. 5g WC once per week or two if I get busy.

you pretty much just described my quarantine tank for new sps frags. they wouldnt last in the tank much longer than a month. all my sps frags that make it out of quarantine color up much nicer in the display with nutrients.

That's not a ULN system, those use live rock or some filtration medium and usually carbon dosing to rapidly process the nitrates and some phosphates to keep them low. A system the way you described it with no filtration at all is a quarantine system with no bacteria load that will perpetually cycle/crash and kill most anything in it after a week or so.
I run low nutrient SPS with only 2 fish (Kole tang and mandarin) using live rock, siporax, vodka dosing and a badass skimmer for filtration. I feed A TON of aminos, reef roids, and other coral food along those lines, so the tank isn't ULN but always has some nitrates and phosphates available for coral food before it's processed. I dose the recommended weekly dosage of Acropower every day. When I ran ULN the growth was ok, but now feeding enough to crash a medium sized tank you can almost chart the daily growth of SPS.
