Underwater webcam?

I was recently intrigued by the idea of having a view of my reef 24/7 w/ acess via the internet. Would it be possible to make an underwater webcam that is wireless? If so, what would be needed?

That would be awesome!I wonder if you could make a cube out of acrylic and put the camera inside and just sink it... I imagine you could even use a wire camera as long as the box is sealed really nice and waterproof. Or how about this for an idea, make the cube and put a magfloat or magnet holder inside so you can attach it to the side like a powerhead...

Very cool idea! Let's see it happen...

o yeah... I didn't think that through too much did I? lol Ok just use heavy duty suction cups... similar to what the koralia uses... and hope that holds ;)

Or just set up a perch for it on top of a rock somewhere... be creative... I thought I read something about somebody using some sort of reef safe glue to cover pvc pipe with and then sprinkling powdered rubble rock over it to create a rock-like coating (which will look better when coraline starts to grow over it). That would be sweet! I think I might try to mock something up tomorrow if I get bored... all I need is a cheap webcam...
