Unknown anemone (?)

Unknown anemones. Started as one hitchiker on a rock and multiplied. Note bubble-tip appears on some occasionally, as seen on bottom center animal. They range from 1/2 to 1.5 inches across. I'm not sure Howard but those look like manajos. If they are still confined to a couple of rocks it might be good to get them out if you can........they spread pretty rapidly and take over.
Maybe someone else can confirm my ID.

They defineetly look like they could be very invasive fast no matter the official name. Especially if they have spread that fast already. I need to post the devistation my unchecked anemonies have done. I let them go beyond the point of return short of a copper banded butterfly with a tast for them I am afraid. I would try joes juice first. Or start a syphone (sp?) with a kinda small diameter hose and try to slice them off the rock while syphoning them so small parts do not float away. I tryed peeling mine off only to make them worse after the small peices floated and settled I tore off . Same thing happened with ugly brown zoas. I only spread them all over the tank when I just ripped them off without a syphone!! Good luck and don't let them get a good hold before you nuke em!!

Those look like Majano to me as well, better nuke'em fast!!! I used to have so many of them all over my tank. I started nuking them with Joe's Juice and the Peppermints took care of the rest.

Thanks, Chris and everyone. I Joe's Juiced them tonight. They reacted immediately. Left an open spot for some nice frag in the future.

Re-treatment is probably needed. I find them hard to kill even with Joe's Juice....You have to follow the direction on the container properly, not to squirt them but to feed them that stuff slowly.....Let them slowly retract, if it's a quick retract, they may still come back or move else where in the tank where you either not see them or somewhere hard to reach. Once you have them where you want them, keep them there by not squirting them. Good Luck!

Majanos are not the same as tulips and I was wondering which one they are when I first posted.......thinking one or the other.

The body structure looks very similar to a tulip, but the colors seem to be all wrong (they aren't green with red tips, and the oral disk looks white). Are they in a high or low light area? Either way, probably want(ed) them gone, especially if they seem to be spreading that fast. As said, just watch that they don't come back... that happens a lot of times.

High light, Brian. They were 6 inches below my VHOs. Found 2 more tonight who thought they could escape. I'll be on the lookout. With everyone's help, I'm confident that I will ultimately outwit them!

The tulips are relatively easy to kill, too. They don't come back like Majano's and Aips, IME.

Just feed Joe's juice real slowly this time, if you have to, do a test spot first until you get a hang of it. Then just slowly push the syringe.....IF all else fails and you get a ton of them. Get a Peppermint Shrimp, it'll help you get rid of it for good....IF you do run out of anemone though, peppermint may not make it unless you feed it. I used to feed mine Spirulina sinking pellets and they loved that stuff, then they adjusted to eat other types of food like frozen food that I feed my fish.....
