unknown leather???

Anyone have any clue what kind of leather this is??? I want to know so I find where I should place it in tank(light and current)???

A pic of it in the water with polyps extended would help me out. To be safe I would start it on the bottom if you have strong lighting.

This is exactly how it looks under water....nothing is poping up or anything of that sort. I have 65wt pc 50/50 18in deep tank where should I place it?
