Unlevel tank advice

Hello,

Setting up my new to me 65g. Unfilled the tank was only slightly unlevel. I figured it would settle and squish the carpet appropriately when it got some weight in it. Now it's got sand, rock, and about 1/4 full of water, there is about a 1/4 inch difference front to back.

I'm not really loving that and I think I need to drain it and shim it.

I think I only need to shim the entire backside of the stand. I've been recommended plastic shims, but I'm not seeing what i need. I was thinking stacking paint sticks 2 high under the back edge.

I've never shimmed before. Tips?

When I got my tank it had a piece of the high compression foam under it and I asked why and he said it helps with leveling them. I looked up some stuff on it and seems a lot of people use it to bring a tank slightly out of level. Just seems to smush it down a bit more on the I level side, not sure it would quite give way to 1/4 inch but I'd say either way it's worth having under it!

I used horse matt on both tank and sump. Charley's out by you should have some or something similar. I forget the name of the other store across 70 that might also have it

HD Green Plastic shims is my strong suggestion but it really depends on what kind of access you have and the construction of the contact portion of your stand.
