Update - Allardi Juvys - 8 weeks old

The juvys are now just about 8 weeks old. They were moved out of the rearing tank last week and into their new 20g home. I have 46 that have survived and all are doing well. It's funny how they all "hang" together during the day over the sponge filter adventuring away only to eat and to explore for a short time. The sponge filter is seeming to be thier host. At night they are all scattered over the tank. Some on the bottom in pairs others in groups of three or four and then some on the sides of the tank. The agression has toned down somewhat, but there are two or three "bosses" that like to protect thier area of the sponge.
Here are some new pictures:

I also kinda like the misbars... I think I should call them African Saddlebacks, ha, ha. Almost all the misbars are like this... Interesting how only the second stripe misbarred.

They look great. Like little pac-men or something.

I wish the adults stayed that way. I love the way male Clarks and Maroons look, but the females morph into giant monsters.

Absolutely beautiful...when they are of age, don't forget about me, please...:)

Congrats on success with such a beautiful fish!!

still that small at eight weeks?! they sure like to take their time, dont they.

well done, they look spectacular.

Hmmm and I thought they were huge for 8 weeks... Although I couldn't get pix of the big ones. The fry that went through meta first are about an 1", 1 1/8". The ones that waited until week 4 are only about 1/2". I would say most are in the 3/4 to 1" range...

Grunt, this is my third attempt with the Allardi, but the first to get this far.

Chuck,
No tint yet... Didn't realize the juvys tinted.
