So I started up a 120g standard several months back. It was all pieced together stuff as I had/have plans to build a nice setup around a new tank eventually.
All was going well for the first few months. Started with brs two part, t5's, some rocks from a old established tank I purchased, basic sump, crappy ato and a skimmer.
Long story short the ato crapped out and dumped 7g of fresh water in and I didn't catch it for about a day and a half or longer.
Most sps started to lose color and stn and a bunch of things died off.
It's been a few weeks now and some stuff seems to be doing better and I finally got a new ato setup.
Hopefully everything is headed in the right direction but I think for the foreseeable future I will be looking to just add easy to care for soft corals. Mushrooms, zoas, etc.
