Its almost there, i got all the setup running and i will be getting my cabinetary for my sump. In the meantime, i made my lousy frame to cover the sump. Main tank 450 Gallon is now on final cycling, maybe another 3-4 weeks, it will be ready for some good corals, SPS and nice fish. Any feedback or suggestion is highly appreciated.

Looks Great!! What are the dimensions of the tank?

Tank is 72x36x40 with 1" acrylic
Sump 72x24x24

You might want to invest in some better reflectors for the MH, 36" is wide and 40" is pretty deep to cover even with 400W MH bulbs. You are wasting a lot of energy to have light rays bouncing everywhere but in to the tank.

Thanks for your input, actually, you are right...i got about 8 sheet of reflector going to the top with a pair of T5 96 watts..that top portion was suppose to be done today but apparently my friend called in sick on me....

That is going to be a spectacular room divider! I don't know how you will ever get away from the table with that to look at, you will gain 50lbs just watching and snacking!

im very interested in your sump being outside.. where exactly do you live?? do you anticipate any tempature fluctuation with it being out side.. I am thinking of doing the same thing but i live in florida, and with the extreme heat, i am worried about how hot everything will get.. im trying to set it up without running a chiller..

what all are you gunna have outside, just the sump.. where is your skimmer and all the pumps..

thanks for any help...

I dont think you could stabilize the temperature without a chiller unless you live beside the ocean.. I live near palm spring which is very hot during summer thats why i got 1/2 chiller and jason is right....without the other stuff, i dont know how could you managed to get your corals fish healthy without those.
