upgraded tank= ammonia spike

I upgraded my tank. added some live rock yesterday... now I got a spike. I got rock from a friendwho lives 45 minutes away. I think I got a bunch of die off. any suggestions on how to remedy this? it went from 0 to 0.2. the peice of rock in question had a bunch of lil dusters etc.

water change...10-20% with RODI water if you can....daily until spike comes down... that is the only safe thing you can do to speed up the cycle at this point. The bacteria in the tank need to reproduce enough to get the levels back in check. If you can get some livesand from a well established tank (one that doesn't overskim) it might help out with the colonization. Good luck
