My flame angel was missing yesterday and today I found him in the rocks upside down. He seems like is ok he just cant swim upright. And he floats.
His he a goner?
May be a problem with the swim bladder which is probably a bacterial issue ... if the fish is still eating then soaking the food in some antibiotics may help. Internal infections are often tough to treat.
As I recall Seachem makes a product called focus which can be used alone or with other antibiotics - try the seachem.com website.
I agree - not looking good. Placing the fish in a QT with some antibiotics in the water column may help .. but to be frank I don't think its going to help enough. Perhaps others have some insight.
Ive noticed that he's only using 1 fin to swim, his tail and other fin are very stiff. He is breathing fast and looking at me when I look into the bowl. How do you put a fish down? and dont say push the lever.
I place my fish in an appropriate sized small bowl of SW and then put in the freezer - suspect that is the most commonly accepted method used by hobbyist. Sorry for your loss.
