urchin attacked my xenia

well it's a little late now but my urchin pretty much chopped my xenia in half. While this makes me sad i am hoping that it will grow back and the other will just attach where it is. and grow there. not in too bad of a spot. but is this common or is it just a coincidence from him walking on top or someething?

is it GONE or shrivelled? If hes just walked over it it will shrivell.
What species of Urchin are we talking about?

no i found him laying in the sand with a hole pierced throgh him. My urchin is a pencil urchin. and he has gone back to my bigger xenia 3 times. I think he just crawled on top of him pretty much, pushing a hole through it's soft body. but still he keeps going after my bigger xenia group. I can't really take him out. cause when i have tried he is got his ground too strong in the rocks so i have to bide my time till he gets on a removable rock or into the sand. So sad. I hope the poor little xenia lives
