Urchin eats pipe organ coral?

We have had a black long-spined urchin in our 120g reef for over a year now. There is also (what was) a nice clump of pipe organ coral. For over a month something has been chewing on the pipe organ. The polyps that are left are healthy but the other tubes (pipes?) are being chewed away. I have seen nothing in action doing this. The only suspect is the urchin. Do they do this?

Thanks for any info!

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the urchin. Mine ate just about everything: including bit not limmited to sponges, tube worms, coralline algae, possibly an apitasia. My only rule for him was, don't eat my expensive maiden's hair algea (that is supposedly toxic if consumed by a marine animal) yet it munched on it as if it was just another piece of nori...
