Using LPS to keep softies in check?

I like the look of Green Star Polyps and Yellow Polyps to a certain extent. I know a lot of people dont like them but i do, but i do not want them to overrun my tank. If i keep them on one side and have my torch and hammer, will that keep them in check? It is my understanding that the sweepers will kill any of the star polyps or yellow polyps that grow within its reach.

I have no GSP by my euphyillia corals, but could be coincidence, they do seem to grow every where else.

yes it works. you can use stinging LPS as a sort of wall to stop a tank overrun

It can also go the other way... make sure to do your HW first.
