UV Serializer question...

The only viable option for me to install my UV is horizontally with the input and output parallel to the floor, not up as the instructions suggest. Does anyone have any experience or see any reason that would be detrimental?

I have read that the chamber might not fill completely thereby reducing the effectivness. I would think that would depend greatly on the volume of water you're pushing through the unit and which unit you're installing. I have no firsthand knowledge so my input should be taken with a grain of salt.

I believe they are water cooled so if the quartz tube isn’t fully submerged you may run into an issue where the tube overheats and possibly cracks. Not really sure how feasible that is if it is mostly submerged though.

I'm hoping, running 1500 GPH will keep that tube nice and full...

Some UV sterilizers work with low flow to increase dwell time to sterilize the water.

this ^^

its 100% dependent on what you want to kill, wattage and flow. Id personally do half flow of what they recommend.

Imagine 6 months from now when your bulb is 50% not as effective. You wouldnt be killing anything you want.
