Contemplating on adding a uv sterilizer to my broodstock set up. Don't know if its necessary. Any thoughts? 200 gallon set up.

I use them to control bacterial blooms, but there is really no need if you have a stable system.

I also use them, keeps algae in check and gives crystal clear water, I don't use them on my reef tanks though

what kind of flow rate do you run to your 9 what? I am thinking about adding the exact same steraliser with my Magnum 350.

The flow rate depends on what you want to kill. If you want to use it therapeutically, you need to go under 50 gallons per hour. In my case I just use it to control bacterial blooms, so it's just attached to my sump return pump, which effectively pumps about 500 GPH. I have a gauge that measures how much water passes through the system, and with a valve I can control the flow in case I need to turn it to therapeutic use.

Thanks, I had a bacterial bloom that was driving me nuts in one tank. I hooked up the 9w on the Magnum 350 and overnight it cleared up after weeks of water changes, etc.
