UV sterilizer?

Wanted to see what your thoughts are on using a UV sterilizer and who runs them? Not sure if I'm gonna get one yet. I have had a couple tanks before and never used one. But, lately I've seen a lot of people running them again. I have a 135 with a 40gal sump/fuge. Newley set up tank (weeks old). My plan is to have maybe 6 smaller fish and a couple medium size. It will be a reef tank.

I think I'm the exception, I run ozone (1hr/day) but no UV.. My tang has to live with ich though (ich receeds completely when he's fed garlic). Just started running JoAnne's diy socks and that got particles out nicely.
