Not gonna get in ****in matches but, i have had great success with a uv sterilizer....read an article on tridacnas and one theory of sudden death with tridacnas was a buildup of bacteria in a closed system...2.5 years later, a move from coral springs, fl to charlotte, nc my maxima is as healthy as ever (knock on wood)...so i give part of my success for my maxima to my uv sterilizer

Just fyi i run about 8 gallons per watt per hour on my UV sterilizer...
