I purchased a couple of submersible UV's for my aquapods...apparently the company that makes them is not doing so anymore so I got a fairly good deal on them (24Watts)....What is the prevailing opinion on whether they help keeping ich at bay...I had what might have been an outbreak in a tank and treated it with flagyl (no way to get fish out of tank without destrying the reef and it's an office tank so I don't have a QT). Anyway the flame angel and dottyback are doing fine with no sign of disease, after over a month but I thought it wouldn't hurt to add the UV....any input?
