UV Sterlizer

Hello all, I have a 25Wt, UV sterlizer and thinking of removing it from my pump supply line to help increase my pump flow. I dont use it all the time, but I want to install it on my overflow line back to my sump. Do you guys think that is a good idea? Does the UV Sterlizer need to be on the supply to the tank? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

UV Sterilizers are effective only within very specific throughput threshhold ranges. IOW, no, not a very good idea. Why not HOB it on the sump (if you're determined to use it), and use a PH?

Personally I think they're too harsh and if you don't need one, don't use it. Plus they add heat.
