Hello all
unfortunatly i bought a fully set up tank with rock filters,light etc
i upgraded my 20 gallon to a 35
after about 1 week all my fish(bw clown pair,and blue damsel) except my 6 line wrasse,contracted velvet and died
This is my fault since i did not hospital tank the rock before using it (i never have since i started)but i have only gotten rock from friends
it just ****es me off since i have not lost a fish in over 3 years
(my fault though)
My question is will the velvet still live past the 8 weeks fallow period with the 6 line wrasse or do i have to get him out of there too even though
he has not had any symptoms (NOT EVEN FLASHING) so will he still be a carrier of the velvet to other fish added after the 2 month period?
the problem is i have mandarin gobys in my other tank so i do not want to put a wrasse in, and if he is a carrier i have much more expensive fish in my other tanks I do not want to give him away and further infect other peoples systems
i might just keep the 6 line by himself and get tones of inverts if it will be a problem
