read your article. it was one of those aha moments. i was about to search out this problem. i will start from the begining.
i have a reef tank and never had a problem with the snails nor had i ever seen one in my tank. the tank crashed. a problem with a float switch. most everything survived. excepting three mythrax crabs, a royal dotty back and a six line wrasse. i got the tank functioning and suddenly i noticed these worms. i identified them as vermitid snails. i have added nothing new to the tank except a pair of clowns. the snails are now taking over the tank. all this has transpired in the past 5 months.
so was it the crabs, pseudo chromis or wrasse that was keeping these invassive pests in check?
thanks,
doug
