Howdy howdy ladies and gents;
I hope I'm not breaking any rules in posting this here (if it is, then just lock the thread and ill go back to my corner in penance).
For years I've wanted a way to share my hobby with other people whether they be reefers or not. Seeing as I learned pretty much everything I know about fish from strangers on the internet though, I also wanted a way to give back something.
I also remember how daunting it was getting started with saltwater tanks. I practically went blind from staring at grey background forum posts. So in an effort to give back, I came up with the entirely original idea of making some videos aimed at people just getting started (or in the case of this video, people thinking about getting into reefing). I rushed out and bought a camera and in only 12 short months, I managed to scrape up the courage to actually film something! :dance:
I'm not really expecting these videos to find an audience online, but I had a lot of fun in making the first one so I'm just going to keep going with them :fun4: .
I post it here in the hopes that somebody else just starting out might find the things that I've learned over the years helpful or at the very least entertaining.
I have a LOT to learn and there are heaps of things I'm not happy with in the video, but eventually you have to just say it's good enough and that I'll learn and do better in the next one. If anyone wants to give me some suggestions, feedback or just wants to come along for the ride, i'll keep posting the videos in this thread as I cobble them together.
