View II Extension?

Can the RS232 Cable Supplied from GHL be used as an extension to my View II?

The profiLux View II ideally complements the the ProfiLux aquarium computer if this is sited where it is difficult to read or when permanent display of all information regarding the aquarium is required. The unit is connected via the serial port of the computer

Thanks Tony for the info but what i meant was if the cable from the View II is not long enough to reach the Main unit can i extend it with the RS232 Cable. The cable for the View has RS232 (DB9) on one end & & a 6 pin jack on the other (Western cable) i was looking to use the RS232 Cable between the View cable & Main unit.

you can use any 1:1 DSUB-9 extension cable (male to female)
