Vinegar baths!

so can i use apple vinegar for a bath for my old skimmer ? and how much should i use per how much water

ya Blurry(pascale) is letting me test drive one to see how i like it for a little bit. its pretty awesome so far, but i think it needs some more breaking in. i just got a vinegar bath before i got it, so it has to recycle kinda

That is what I ended up getting octo 150 nw just a few months ago-works great but very picky as to the water level-so I need to get a ato system going to keep the level more constant.

I'm pretty sure your only supposed to use white distilled.

Better yet muriatic acid.

yeah i would stay away form the apple-and just grab some white-cheap! Acid going to cost more-alot faster cleaning-and caustic. But thats just me.

I think I rock it at 9 inches

White vinegar and I would use 1 cup for every 2 gallons. That's how I get the hard water stains off of my freshwater items and the smell is minimal and disappears within 2 days.

muriatic you can get at Home Depot.

Muriatic (hydrochloric) acid is not the same acid that's in vinegar. Vinegar is dilute acetic acid.
