Viper 75 MH Light Problem

Has anyone experienced problems with the Viper 75 clip clamp on light? My second one is now experiencing problems. The first one worked for 3 weeks before it started just shutting off by itself. This second lasted for another 3 weeks and is doing the same thing.
Could this be a problem with the power at my house? It seems odd that the lights could be so faulty that I get two bad ones in a row.
Well back to stock aqua pod lights for now. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I know its discouraging but other posts have described a litany of problems with this brand and I have been told by informed LFS people not to buy one. I hope you can work out the problem with the company as I feel many aspects of this product are not up to par. Consider contacting Nick at Nano customs about putting some MH in you tank hood. They got lots of new lighting goodies. Best of luck.

I wonder if replacing the ballast with an icecap rated for the same watts would work? More than likely the reason the one I have is shutting off is the ballast. I would think anyway.

make them replace the entire lamp and if they don't go balllistic on the forums!
