Visi-Therm Stealth Heaters

I have a Visa-Therm that runs cold and a Jager that is stuck on.

That being said I tend to go to multiple smaller heaters
(perferably on a controller).

That way is one breaks the others handle the load, or if one
sticks on it hopefully won't have enough output on it's own to
boiil the tank

I also put those stick on therometers on the the tank in a spot it
is easy to glance when looking at the tank (corners of the tank).
that way yuo tend to check the temp more often

My stealth also ran cold. It was almost impossible to set accurately because there is no indicator light to show when heater kicks on.

I have a stealth in a 10 gallon (50 watt) and I was wondering about this myself. It seems like the water is cooler than it should be and I hate how I can't tell if the heater is on or not. I hear that they are good heaters and all but I am a little frustrated by it.

I have a via aqua in my other tank and I like the features it has.

I couldn't be happier with mine, I run them on both of my tanks. One on a discus tank with 900 dollars of fish. This tank is kept at 86 degrees and it does a great job very stable. On my salt I have never seen it at any other temp them 79, been there for a year. Only complaint is that it could use a light.
