I actually was wondering what is the best way to add wrasses to an established group of surgeonfish? I know I should have put the in first, but I went with the tangs first.
I would like to add the following:

Flame Wrasse pair
Leopard Wrasse
Radiant Wrasse
Laboutei Wrasse
Mystery Wrasse

What order would you add them?

As far as tangs they arent going to pay to much attention to any wrasses. Any time I have added one its like they were there the whole time. Tangs get terrtorial when you add fish that are more similar to their shape. HTH.

I was thinking more of the wrasses...
Will they dive into the sand and hide forever from all the commotion going on in the tank? Should I add them after dark? What other suggestions do you have?

Of the wrasses you mentioned, only the leopard is a sand diver. If you are still worried, you could socially acclimate with a breeder cup hung on the tank to allow old timers to size up the new comers. But generally, tangs will not even notice wrasses.
