Vortech controller disappeared

I decided it was time to finally face the "fun" of upgrading my Profilux III firmware again. I finally managed to connect via USB and updated the firmware from 6.10 to 6.22. I then restored the backup I had made just before.

Everything is working fine, except my Vortech controller has disappeared. I'm sure it's on older firmware, so maybe I need to update the firmware? But I've had no success in finding any instructions on how to do that.

Any clues on what may be wrong, and how to update the vortech controller firmware?

So, I finally figured out how to get the controller appearing back in GCC -- I had to go into the profilux and configure all the PAB devices again. I'm guessing now that I've done that, I can disconnect everything except the vortech controller, then do the PAB firmware update through GCC.
