vortech new but a year old??

ok i bought a mp10 from aquacave. i recieved it and the wet side was loud and not working properly. i called aquacave. they asked me to call ecotech. ecotech was awesome. over nighted the wet side to me and its working great. ecotech emailed me and asked for the serial number again. i realized when checking the number that the pump was manufactored in october 2012. anytime i have bought a vortech in the past the manufactor date has only be a couple months before the purchase. should i be concerned? im gonna ecotech in the morning.

I think as long as you have proof that you purchased it recently, you should be fine

i do. but doesnt that seem weird? should i make a fus about it and try and get one newer? i didnt call ecotech today because i work nights and slept but tomorrow i am. also this is a non wireless one because i only need one in my tank and wanted to save the 50$

nah, its not that weird, they probably bought a ton at once and are still working thru it. I donrhink making a fuss will do anything

ecotech said as long as i have proof ill have that one year warrenty. if not its out of warrenty

It'll hurt resale but that's about it if it was new.

thats what i told ecotech. if i try and resale it people will doubt me. but at least i have the receipt
