Wanted: Live Mysis

Had a population for awhile in my fuge but has since died out. Looking to reestablish some in my new sump fuge. Anybody have a few to spare? If not, do you know of a good source online for a starter culture? I found a place with aquacultured mysis but the lowest quantity they sell is 500 for 65 bucks.

They are used as model organisms, so there are a ton of suppliers online who offer them, but as you noted they offer in "bulk". I wanted a few(15-20) to seed my sump with as well. To be honest, it may very well be worth your while to set up a 30 breeder to culture the little buggers and sell them off regionally. Or find a group willing to split the order(I hate saying group buy here). 50 for 6.50, 100 for 13, and so on.

Yeah I was trying to avoid that and since its not a pressing need I might just forget about it unless I find someone selling a smaller amount.

I went to store today in Nashville and they had a 55 full of live brine shrimp. It would be nice to have that for a feeding option. They were $1.50 a teaspoon.

Wow that's nice they keep live brine in stock. It'd be nice if brine shrimp would live and reproduce in a fuge like mysis.
