Wanted- Rose Bubble tip

I should have one available. Im propogating them now. :) If there not ready by the meeting i will definitely have them by next months meeting.

Cut the anemone in half. Right thru the mouth. I use a razor blade and take it off the rock or whatever its attached to first. Slice it in 2 and toss both halves back into the tank.

Ughhhhhhh..........................:( :mad2:

I was at Nerac..and I meant to ask him about a bubble coral....but did not. Was wondering how many frag tanks would be set up....

Maybe i am talking about a different coral? I have the white bubble coral -- has the feeder tentacles too....the bubbles are circular--not elongated like typical anemone. Do these corals have a mouth in the center also?

Totally different animal Zoa. Among many other differences, anemones do not have a calcareous exoskeloton (or any calcarous parts) so a simple scalpel is all it takes to cut in two.

A bubble coral requires a bit different approach. I havent fragged one, but I imagine a dremel tool with cutting wheel or a chisel would be required and would do a fine job.

Thnks infallon--ok just for clarity purpose...what is the name of what you think my coral id with the circulsar bubbles.

Are you planning to frag your piece?

Yup - all my mushrooms and anemones went under the knife... all are fine. I split an RBTA, and both are good- although I'm planning on growing them out a bit more and splitting again before I trade any off. Christine split her green anemone - but that one didnt fare so well, I think one half disintegrated and the other - I'll have to look- I think half was ok.

I got some cyano I'm more than happy to cut off to share with someone ;)
