Watchman Goby question

I just put a juvenile yellow watchman goby in the tank today and he's displaying some odd behavior. For a short time I thought he'd found a spot he like because he just stayed there propped up looking around. Since he's been in (on and off) he's doing a vertical up and down "bounce" for lack of a better word. He doesn't seem ill but kind of dancing.

Is this normal behavior? I know they can be a bit quirky.

Ive had mine for 6 months now. He dis the same thing a few months ago for a day or so. He has settled in a great spot right up front!. He seems fine and eats plenty. Awesome little guy.
