Water change question

Are the corals, rocks (and everything in and attached to it) going to be ok if I drain 5-10 gallons from a 55g reef tank? There is approx 20g additional in sump and refuge.

they will be fine unless exposed to air for a long time but a normal waterchange don't take long enough to cause problems
