1. do you use water conditioners to the top off and water change water??

2. if so, what conditioner do you use?

I am asking these because I currently use the local water stores RO water in my tanks, but am unsure if I should condition them also before adding them to my tanks--just to be safe/sure.

thanks

RO water water should not require a "conditioner".

You mean RO water "should" not require a conditioner ;)

RO water water should not require a "conditioner".
I know, but I guess what I'm saying is that I was just thinking it would be a good idea to be safe--since you never know if their membranes are working properly etc......

I don't think its warranted .. I suspect the carbon pre filter is what removes the chlorine/chloramine at any rate.

Thats why you should have your own RO/DI unit and a TDS meter.
I will eventually
