water flow question

I have a standard 90 gallon tank that is mostly sps


right now for flow I have 2 seio 2600's and 2 sieo 620's
and the return is a mag 9.5 through a penductor

I want to get rid of some of the clutter in the tank so there is not equipment hanging every where

what are some good ways to go to get more random flow and still keep the turnover rate I have now?

I really cant splurge for a set of streams right now

You could go closed loop....way cheaper then some streams...Tunze is overrated and because of that their price are inflated...but that is just MHO...

Closed Loop... Buy 2 SQWD's and a Mag 18 ,, split the feed off the Mag 18 into 2 pipes.. one to each SQWD and have 4 returns..

Maybe even a MAG 12.. Or Mod some maxijets ...

can you use the mag pumps as an external pump?

I thought they were for submersible use only?

you can, but i wouldn't, they are too loud

mod some maxijets. take the 620's out, they aren't doing much, and if you get enough modded maxijets you can get the 2600's out too, they are huge, way too big for a 90 imo.

do you know where you can get the props to mod the maxi jets?
and after they are moded do they really move as much water as people say?

I got a couple of kits from mjmods.com just to try out and play around with. Good service.

Yes the thing moves a TON of water, I was really impressed.

I figured it wasn't alot of money to try one kit and see if I liked it. Then I bought another.
