Water Pumps

OK I was at home depot today and saw this pump

http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/TP-160-Utility-Pump/index.htm

it pumps 2000 gph and is totally submersible and it was only $59.99. I almost bought it thinking I can use it for my sump. Is there any reason why I wouldn't be able too???? I figured there must be something different, what would make the pet store bought pumps so much more expensive???? Could I use this?? would 2000gph be too much for my 150 gallon with 55 gallon sump???

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ofcourse...... damnit lol I thought I was getting a super good deal on a pump. ahhhhhhhhh damn metal parts. Well it was probably noisy as hell too LOL

Anyways now that I need to buy a pump... is the quite one 4000 from pentair aquatics a good pump???

you know, i did the same thing you're attempting to do when i first go into this hobby. back then i didn't know better and figured that a pump is a pump, but after 3 or 4 months, i realized why it was so much cheaper. the pump rusted out and dumped a nice, think layer of oil into my tank. In the long run, it's really not a whole lot of bang for your buck.
